Bome - mercury and amalgam processing
BOME s.r.o. was founded in 1992 and from the very beginning has specialized in the trade, distribution, and production of mercury, including the management of waste mercury. It also specializes in dental waste, and the distribution of highly specialized chemicals for industry, science, and research.
During its history, BOME s.r.o. has taken over most of the waste mercury that became waste in the Czech Republic and Slovakia after being replaced by more ecological methods. This mainly included mercury from industrial pressure gauges in the heating industry, mercury from the manufacture of manometers or thermometers, mercury obtained from the processing of light sources (fluorescent lamps) or batteries, and mercury from chemical laboratories, etc. Most well-known waste disposal companies are also suppliers of small amounts of mercury, as well as firefighters or the Czech Police. Approximately 130 tons of mercury has been processed from these small sources, whereby being brought under control, and no longer posing a threat to the environment. As part of our social responsibility, we buy mercury to motivate producers to hand over the mercury to us.
Take back of hazardous waste containing mercury, and the purchase and processing of precious metal alloys are services that BOME s.r.o. offers to dental surgeries.
The facility is intended for the waste-free reprocessing of hazardous waste according to the Waste Catalogue, and it particularly intended for the processing of raw or used contaminated mercury containing other metals and mechanical impurities, as well as for the processing of mercury-containing amalgam waste from dental surgeries and laboratories.
Dental waste is an important area where mercury can enter the environment uncontrollably. This is unconsumed dental amalgam and the contents of wastewater separators in dental chairs, where particles of heavy metals arising from dental work are concentrated. We collect all this waste for disposal and our staff regularly visit dental surgeries and personally collect this waste. We also provide related activities for our partners, such as issuing waste treatment certificates or hazardous waste transportation reports.
Thanks to partnerships within the company's ownership structure, we are able to ensure the supply of specialized chemicals for industry, science, and research for the most complex applications.
Our aim is to provide the customer with comprehensive nad tailor-made services. Whether it is the purchase or processing of mercury, services for dentists or the supply of specialized chemicals, our main objective is for the customer to always feel we have a solid approach and that they can rely on their business partner.
